Defining JOKE

Dealing in issues of architecture and the urban environment, JOKE is a collaborative thought process that balances somewhat between a design studio and an architectural think tank. While some of our contemporaries might use the term “interdisciplinary studio” to define themselves, it would be difficult for us to be classified as such since design solutions are not always the aim of our work. Rather, JOKE is an architectural commentary; a critique and critical observation of the built environment. Free from deadlines, clients and other restrictions, JOKE represents a libertarian outlet in which the world around us can be contemplated.
